About

Have you ever been in the middle of a conversation with someone who should understand you — but doesn’t?

Have you ever noticed you’re moving while most everyone else in the room is standing still?

Have you ever seen something as clear as the nose on your face and wondered if you’re imagining it — because no one else seems to see it?

You’re not imagining it.

Every brain is different. There are people in every organization, every classroom, every family who notice details everyone else is unable to see. Who ask the question no one else even considered. Who connect dots across domains that others are unable to connect. The world sees a brain that works differently — and too often, that’s where the conversation ends.

UnMasking Neurons wants to change that.

The world built itself around one kind of brain. We’re building what comes next.

Who we are

UnMasking Neurons is a social enterprise built on a single conviction: neurodivergent people are not broken. They are simply part of a world designed around the majority — where the experiences of most became the definition of normal, and everyone else got labeled different, difficult, or not worth the effort.

We see you. We know what that costs. And we’re building something different.

Our mission

To change how the world sees neurodivergent people. To raise their voices from unheard to undeniable — and to show the world that their minds are so much more than it has ever given them credit for.

Our vision

A world where neurodivergent people don’t have to fight to be heard. Where what they see isn’t dismissed just because others don’t see it yet. Where stating that your brain works differently isn’t something to be afraid of.

How we’re built — the Robin Hood model

UnMasking Neurons operates on a simple principle: everyone who comes to us needs something. The difference is simply what each person is able to contribute.

Institutional and corporate revenue funds access for those who cannot contribute financially — not because one group is helping the other, but because both groups need what UnMasking Neurons builds. No community member’s access depends on a grant committee or a donor’s generosity. The organization sustains itself through earned revenue, because that is the only model that is genuinely fair to everyone who depends on it.

One organization. One mission. Expressed through the work that the mission requires.

Our wings

UnMasking Neurons operates across four wings — each distinct, all connected by one mission.

Technology — UMNTech Privacy-first software built for neurodivergent people and the families who support them. Starting with UMNRhythm — on-device AI, zero telemetry, zero-knowledge architecture.

Community — UMNTogether A safe, trauma-informed online community where neurodivergent people connect, support each other, and find belonging.

Science Institute Research built on a different premise: not what is wrong with neurodivergent minds, but what those minds can make happen. Community-consented, privacy-protected, published for everyone.

Consulting & Advisory Most organizations treat security as a technical problem. UnMasking Neurons shows them it is a communication problem first. We close that gap. The consulting practice funds the mission. The mission informs the consulting.
