The Founder
The challenges I’ve faced because of my neurodivergency don’t have to be yours. I built UnMasking Neurons because I believe the world can change.
Living with AuADHD and being 2e means I’ve fought for myself my entire life — with doctors, with employers, with family. I’ve been brushed off, dismissed, told I was imagining things. And I’ve watched, more times than I can count, as exactly what I was saying showed up later and proved itself true.
I’ve fought just as hard for my kids. I’ve refused to accept what I was handed as the only way forward — because I know the pain and confusion that brings with no real help. My own experiences and perspectives have taken me further with my kids than the doctors could, not because I had more credentials, but because I had more context from living it.
As a data protection engineer with 20 years in IT and nearly a decade specializing in cybersecurity, I’ve worked across the full range — from enterprise-scale organizations to small businesses finding their footing — and the communication failures that create security risk look exactly the same at every size. The patterns I saw weren’t in any textbook. They came from being the person in the room who notices what others walk past.
I built this because I spent a lifetime looking for it and it didn’t exist. Not the right technology. Not the right community. Not a system that met me where I was.
UnMasking Neurons isn’t about giving you tools to exist in a world that doesn’t meet you where you are. It’s about changing how the world sees people like us.
